Notice Is hereby given that Ribble Valley Borough Council (“the Council') propose to make an Order under Sections 35(1) and 35(3) to (3B) of and Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“The 1984 Act')'and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)(County of Lancashire) Order 2004 (the Lancashire Order’ ) and the provisions referred to in the Lancashire Order. This Order shall be cal'ed the Ribble Valley Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2006. Its effect will be to: (1) introduce decriminalised parking enforcement (including charging on the basis that this will be a long stay car park) in the public car park, off Padiham Road, Sabden between the hours of Sam and 5pm; (2) introduce decriminalised parking enforcement of the disabled spaces at Riverside, near Edisford Bridge between the Irojrs of Sam and 6pm; (3) update the charges in column 7 of the Schedule to the Order'in respect of fhe car parks covered by fhe Ribble Valley (Off-street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2004 (‘ the exisbng u'der'); (4) reflect the fact that the Council now has civil enforcement powers in respect ot car parking offences; and (5) revoke fhe existing order. . , The Schedule to this Notice shows the days and times of operation, the maximum period for waiting, the classes of vehicles for which the parking places will be available and the charges proposed to be made for fhe use of the parking places.


Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including the draft Order itself, are available for inspeebon by the public at the Council Offices at. Church Walk, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 2RA during normal office hours. Any objectioris or other representah’ons relating,to the Order must be made in writing to me by not later than 24th July 2006. All objectiens must specify the grounds on which they are made.
