A MOUNTAIN of Easter eggs and other goodies were delivered to children in hospi tal thanks to a'Clitheroe car dealership and its generous customers. Perrys Peugeot, on Waterloo Road,
teamed up with the Easter Bunny to make Easter that bit more enjoyable for patients on the Children’s Leukaemia Unit at Christies Hospital in Manchester. An appeal, launched by the Easter
Bunny himself, invited local people to donate all the chocolate and sweets that they could live ■without during the run-up to Easter. Perrys received plenty of donations from staff and members of the public, all of
which ensured that the children enjoyed a few extra Easter treats. The Easter Bunny, who made space in his busy schedule to help with this initiative, commented: “I’m sure all the kids -will be delighted with the extra chocolate, they certainly deserve it.” Dave Walker-Smith, general manager of

Vintage rally’s welcome return after two years
THE popular Steam and Vintage Vehicle Display is returning to Slaidburn. The rally, which includes -vintage tractors and cars,
will this year have a rural theme. After a two-year absence, the event -will feature demonstrations of dry stone walling, sheep shearing, stick dress ing and wood turning, plus a craft fair with antiques, stalls and a children’s fairground. Displays from local organisations,
including Playgroup, Brownies, Young Farmers, WI and the -village school will be exhibited in the church and on the Satur day evening a lively folk group will be playing at the Hark to Bounty, -with a hog roast on the Sunday. Being held on June 10th and 11th, the
