CRICKET fans will have to wait a week for the start of the Veka Ribbles- dale League season. Mother Nature has
forced the s ta r t of the new campaign to be put back by seven days. Wickets were set to be
meeting on Monday night, it was decided that the season will now start on Saturday, April 22nd. Secretary Rod Slater
explained: “All Ribbles- dale Cricket League fix tures for this weekend are being postponed. “Due to the inclement

Eggs - travaganza for the Blues!

CARL Garner has urged all local football fans to join in on an Easter eggs-travanganza. The Blues chairman is bursting
with anticipation, ahead of what he calls “a unique day” in the club’s history. The runaway leaders of the
North West Counties League Sec ond Division, FC United, are the side coming to town, to aid the club with their recent financial worries. And with the prospect of a record

means a lot of work for everyone, but if it helps our cause, which it will, it wall all be worthwMle.” He explained how the game came
