pupil Jayjay Rainford, e-learning manager David Hassan, teacher Mrs Virginia Crewe and her daughter, Naomi Crewe, i t has been completely revamped and is now interactive and avail able for pupils, staff

includes pages of advice to different year groups, links to local colleges, sixth forms and trainers and lots of advice and information about life after school and career options. Mrs P a t Harker,
manager of Connexions for Hyndburn, Ribble Valley and Rossendale, went to the school to officially launch the site. She explained how important it was that pupils and parents could access informa tion when they needed it from their computers. School celebrates long-held tradition
A SCHOOL tradition which has stood the test of time has again been celebrated in Clitheroe. The annual Clitheroe Royal Grammar School
Commemoration Day service was held in Clitheroe Parish Church. The traditional serv ice can trace its roots back to 1622 when it was decided that the school’s headteacher, governors and pupils should celebrate the founding of the school in 1554, around St John the Baptist’s feast day. Songs performed by the school’s junior choir
and chamber choir, together with readings by head boy Kenneth Damien and head girl Savana Shakir all featured in the service. Pictured is CRGS headteacher Miss Judith
Evans with civic dignitaries including the Mayor of the Ribble Valley, Coun. Peter Ainsworth, and the Mayor of Clitheroe, Coun. Allan Knox. (B120706/1)
