NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN llial the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Secfon 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedeslrian from proceeding over that length of Public Footpath No. 11 Waddington, in the Borough of Ribble Vailey, indicated below;-


That part of Public Footpath No. 11 Waddington, Ribble Valley Borough at a point approximately 90 metres to the north west of its junction with Public Footpath No. 12 Waddington, at Grid Ref 7292 4410, nrnning in a south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 90 metres to the junction with Public Footpalh No. 12 Waddington, at Grid Ref. 7295 4401.


An alternative route is available from a point on Pubiic Footpath No. 11 Waddington approximately 90 melres to the north west of its junction with Public Footpath No. 12, at Grid Ref 7292 4410 and nrnning in a south westeriy, then south easterly direction for a distance of approximatety 103 metres along the drive entrance to Waddington Hosprtal to its junction with West Bradford Road at Grid Reference 7295 4400.


The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst United Utilities Water PLC carry out works to lay a new water main link.


The Order will be operative from the 17 November, 2005, tor a period of 6 months.
