But it was the visitors who might have won this


game, with more composure in front of goal. The locals started the brighter and missed several


early chances, before Brown broke the deadlock with a 30-yard drive. The hosts extended their lead when Kicking


notched, but slack marking let Cowling back in just before the break. The visitors were the better side after the restart,


but Brown made it 3-1 against the run of play with his second of the afternoon. Cowling fought back and scored again to make it


3-2, but the locals hung on to the points. WFC’s next game is away to Oxenhope, and play­


ers are asked to meet at the Waggon and Horses at 12-15 p.m.
