Get Carter Sky Movies Max, 8.00pm. The 1971 Michael Caine vehicle Get Carter is not only one of the East End actor’s best films, it’s wide ly regarded as one of the finest British movies ever made. After seeing it, it's hard to imagine anybody even trying to improve it or somebody else playing the title role. Nevertheless, Holly wood producers decided to remake it and, bizarrely, opted for Sylvester Stallone. While many fans can hardly believe a remake was allowed, one person who doesn’t mind is Caine himself. Alan Cumming also stars.
