GRANADA TV weather man Fred Talbot visited Stonyhurst College observa tory to film an unusual sight - a huge dark spot on the sun. Although the sunspot was
visible to the naked eye, its clarity was enhanced by using the large telescope housed within the grounds of Stonyhurst College. The working observatory
is used regularly by the pupils of both Stonyhurst College and the preparatory school, St Mary's Hall.
