LIFE certainly won't be a hoot for the person who has lost this beau tiful bam owl. The bird has been

taken under the wing of Gordon and Pat High- am at their Sabden home until its rightful owner can be found. Found perched on the

windowsill of a house in Waddington on Easter Saturday, the person who found the owl con tacted Mrs Higham, who agreed to take the lost bird under her wing.

She said; "The owl is

not very old - perhaps around two yem-s - and I don't think it can have flown far. " I t was rest ing on a window ledge because it was over tired." As the owl is'not reg

istered with the Inde pendent Bird Register based in Warwickshire, officers there advised the finder .of the bird to contact Mrs Higham. She and her husband, Gordon, are registered with the organisation, as they have owned

their own barn owD Ollie, for the past two years.

i Mrs Higham added:

"The bird is ringed, sq whoever claims the birfj. will have to pro'vide all the documentation tfi prove they are the right ful owner." ' Anyone who has any

information about the owl is asked to contaqt

. Mrs Higham on 01282 774417.
