the ideal presents for friends and family, there is no need to worry — you will not be on your own! There is still plenty of time left

before the big day arrives — and many shops and stores will be open later than usual on certain nights in the run- up to Christmas as people try to find that elusive gift for the person who has every thing or that friend you had for

gotten about. And it is not only in the larger

towns and cities that extended opening hours will be in force. Locally, too, there will general

ly be one or two nights a week when shops will be open after the usual closing times to catch the last-minute shopper. • There will no doubt be bar gains galore on offer in the last few days before Christmas as stores try to clear as much of their festive stock as possible. These can make the perfect

stocking fillers, so it is perhaps worth setting aside a little time and tracking these down. Some stores and shopping cen

tres will also be putting on special seasonal entertainment to add a little sparkle to the dark Decern- ber days and case ihc stress for frantic shoppers as they rush around in the last-minute dash. So if you still have not finished

your Christmas shopping, do not panic - there arc-many more out there just like you'
