THE ROLE


Reporting to. the Chief Accountant this is a key role with responsibility for the day to day operation of cash and credit sales ledgers, purchase ledger, credit card fraud and a busy post room. With a reporting team of six and 16 indirect staff, human resource management is an important element of the job.


THE PERSON


You will need to be a mature and experienced Accounts Manager with strong man-management skills. Computer literate, with good operating systems knowledge, your experience will have been a large busy accounts office producing accounts to at least trial balance stage.


A good team player you should have a'positive attitude to change and the ability to manage effectively under pressure. The levels of your experience, skills and abilities are more important than formal qualifications and are unlikely to be found in someone younger than 35 years old. Applicants will have gained at least 2 years testing experience in either the furnishing or apparel fabrics sector and will be used to worlang to a


recognised quality standard, preferably IS09001. TJe successful applicant will report directly to the Technical Manager and be responsible for one member of staff.


The position will entail continual testing to British and European standards involving the complete spectrum of furnishing fabrics and accessories and will require a very accurate approach to product quality. In conjunction


with the Technical Manager you will be responsible for assessing product conformity of new supplies and existing stock. You will need to’liaise


closely with Design, Inspection, Purchasing and Production departments. Computer literacy would be an advantage.


Salary - £11,000 per annum ASSISTANT LABORATORY /TECHNICIAN


Applicants will be interested in the Textile sector and have an accurate and analytical approach to work. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Laboratory Technician and be responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Laboratory. Basic computer literacy would be an advantage.


Salary - £6,000 per annum
