Disabled artists are sought to take part in awareness event
ORGANISERS of a Disability Arts Awareness Month next June are looking for local disabled artists to get involved and make it an event to remember.
New season opens with piano recital
A PIANO recital by Mr Neil Crossland, who is building a career as a con cert pianist, opened the new season of Clitheroe Concerts Society. His programme began
with a flourish with the Busoni transcription of a Bach violin chaconne. Although the music at times seemed remote from Bach, the elaborate con struction and ornamenta tion offered great scope for a virtuoso performance. A delightful Haydn sonata followed, the slow move ment leading to a typical witty finale. Next came “Funeraille”
