tion. Explained Christine (pictured):


“There is a mutual bond. You can draw strength just by talking to oth­ ers who have gone through the same experience. Yet I could not find any local support group which provided this kind of help.”


To remedy the situation, Christine . .


has now decided to form her own group. Membership Is open to any­ one in the Ribble Valley, young or old, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. I t is also open to cancer patients’ families and friends. “I t is not an easy time for anyone

another and so, for this reason, does not want meetings to merely become
