privileged youngsters the chance to take pari in everyday activities. When not describing the merits


of the latest car in his job as after­ sales manager a t Rufus C a r r ’s Garage, Clitheroe, Mr Peel is a keen walker. Last year lie covered more than 200 miles when walking the Kibble Way. Mr Peel has been practising


hard to walk the 80 miles to the Cumbrian Coast. He and his walk­ ing partner, accountant Mr Neil Latham, of P res to n , expect to cover the distance in between five and six days. They will either be


staying in youth hostels or under canvas at night. Mr Peel’s wife, Margaret, will


be waving the pair off from New­ castle-upon-Tyne and is confident they will complete the walk with­ out a hitch. Mrs P e e l s a id : “ B o th a re


experienced walkers and should cope with this 80-mile walk. They have already got sponsorship and are hoping for other businesses or individuals to support them.” Anyone wanting to sponsor the
