AND WHERE DOES WINE COME INTO THIS?


When we launched Ludlow Gin, our first wholesale customer was John Villar Wines; a long established and experienced wine merchant, supplying restaurants and pubs across the mid- counties. It wasn’t long before we brought John’s work into our portfolio, it’s more effective and fun when you’re part of a team. This year we’ve rebranded the wine business as Ludlow Fine Wines, and we’re about to launch the ‘Wine by the Dozen’ club.


I RECENTLY VISITED THE NEW GIN SCHOOL, AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE, TELL US MORE?


We’ve been looking for a new home for the last few years, and finally, in April this year, we moved to a large unit on the Ludlow Farm Shop site. We’ve managed to squeeze in both the gin and whisky distilleries, and our warehouse and production facility,


and we’ve also created a visitors’ centre. Our shop is open seven days a week, with tours every day, and now Gin School as well.


The Gin School is an incredibly fun experience; you get to make your own bottle of gin – with your own choice of botanicals – after you’ve enjoyed a full tour, and tasted samples of some of our wonderful products.
