WELCOME TO L I V E 2 4 - S E V EN MAGA Z INE MEET THE TEAM Welcome to your November edition of Live 24-Seven.
I love the change in season that November brings; that sudden autumn to winter shift half way through the month. The smell of snow in the air (albeit if it generally ends up as slushy rain). Wood burning though open fires and descending onto the streets; hot chocolate; mulled wine, chestnuts roasting in many of the delightful Christmas festivals that we host so well. Fireworks, gingerbread, delicious soup aromas, I could go on and on. But, ultimately, I guess it’s that certain ‘retreat feeling’ about this time of year that no other season gives you, which makes it so special. Long, drawn in nights where you can cosy up, before the hubbub of Christmas of course.

There’s no better way to embrace this time of year by embarking on an autumn walk, particularly on a dry, crisp day with the crunch of leaves and the sprinkling of sunlight through the trees. In this edition, we have put together some super local walking spots for you to visit.
If you come home feeling a bit chilly after your walk, perhaps you may like to try your hand at some of our ‘Hot Cocktail’ and food pairings to warm you up. From Irish Coffee, to Spiked Hot Chocolate, we have put together some delicious ‘hot’ recipes for you to replicate at home this autumn.
And, after all this self indulgence, if you are feeling sociable and in the festive mood, we have shortlisted some fantastic events for you to enjoy too; from Christmas light spectacles and markets, as well as some theatre treats. For a theatre treat like no other, we highly recommend Twelve Angry Men, starring none other than Dallas legend, Patrick Duffy.

In fact, Patrick was kind enough to speak to his amidst his UK tour of the Oscar award winning play, giving us the entire scoop on how much he enjoys the challenge of theatre work. Considered one of the great ‘must-sees’ of all time, this gripping knife-edge courtroom thriller follows a jury as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father.
We hope you enjoy November’s edition and look forward to seeing you again next month. Samantha x
