DESIGN POWER
Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour champions creativity, nurturing talent and promoting excellence in craftsmanship. Find out how it brings together the worldwide design community, thanks to a vision and leadership that inject new energy into every year
universally recognised for the breadth of design on offer from its 650+ brands, but also as the creative confluence for the design community, who visit from over 50 countries. A dynamic vision for the future, alongside ambitions for its unique ecosystem and highly anticipated events, not to mention for the design industry itself, means it is constantly evolving and building on its leadership position. With a mix of 135 luxury flagships, independent companies and boutique ateliers (where you can find treasures that you simply won’t get anywhere else), it has grown by 50% in less than 10 years. “I have the world’s biggest design library on my doorstep,” is how Lucy Sear-Barlow, co-founder of Barlow & Barlow, puts it. It is always an exciting place to visit, whether to

seek new-season launches, attend an event, make connections or meet professional colleagues. “So many of my industry relationships have been born here,“ says Joy Moyler, US interior designer and AD Top 100 honouree. “Stepping through its doors is a gateway to
ccording to the Financial Times, “Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is the very best of international design and decoration – inspiration abounds.” It is not only
design and I know my projects are in great hands: the customer support is bar none.” Each season, new brands make their debut, giving them access to a vast visitor base of designers, architects, specifiers and collectors working across residential and hospitality projects, as well as private individuals. The Design Centre’s convening power brings together
remarkable products from around the globe (represented by brands from 32 countries and counting). “Clients come from all over the world to source the best of the best,” says Chad Stark, CEO of Stark Carpet, the international carpet and rug firm with a South Dome showroom. An ongoing initiative is the hosting of over 300 leading interior designers from the US for Design Destination London; spearheaded by the Wells Companies, it highlights a desire among American designers to seek deeper connections with the UK design industry. Nowhere else can you discover such a concentration
of design diversity, all at one address. From classic to contemporary, cutting-edge to charming, renowned luxury design houses through to emerging makers, there is creativity and expertise in abundance. The reasons are simple for Charlie North, global VP of interior design at Ennismore, which has a portfolio of 180+ hotels and
resorts and over 140 in the pipeline, as well as 500 restaurants and bars: “There are so many options under one roof. It’s a go-to for many of our projects and a lovely environment for sourcing, seeking and scheming.” Now, with an exciting expansion focused on the light-
filled Fifth Floor of Design Centre East, more leading brands are finding the perfect place to meet the design world. This new phase of 15,000 sq ft has been developed to meet demand from dynamic businesses that want to be a part of the Design Centre’s continued success. Major events like Focus/25 on Design in September
and London Design Week in March have always been central to the Design Centre’s offering, attracting thousands from around the world for the new collections, A-list talks, artisan demonstrations, pop- up House Guests, exhibitions and galleries, as well as networking opportunities. Innovation germinated the much-acclaimed WOW!house, which will enter its fifth year in June 2026. And, coming soon is Contract/25, a new show in partnership with HIX, focusing on the future of hospitality design (13 – 14 October 2025, by invitation). The unmatched reach of the Design Centre has never been stronger, cementing its position as a vital design hub.
