What’s the lifting point?

manufacturing and production relies on every minute of the day. These lifting points are at the heart of industry because they are used to connect lifting equipment to the load. When working with computer numerical control (CNC) machines, molds and precision- engineered steelwork, they are integral to safety and productivity. They are predominantly bolted onto the load,


provided there is a hole on the product to be lifted that can be used to bolt a lifting point in to make a lift. If it is a manufactured item, the hole will have


to be suitable for the life of the product. When the object needs to have lifting points added, a weld- on option allows for great flexibility. In the field, loads shift, angles change and


side forces are frequent occurrences. Importantly, YOKE’s Yellow Point range rotates, which means the products automatically align with the load to keep equipment and operators safe. The lifting points can also be used for lashing applications. Lifting is moving a load from the ground, off the ground and normally back to the ground; lashing, meanwhile, is a temporary or permanent
