technologies, the special feature of this year’s HUSUM WIND is digital energy transition. Digital technologies have developed rapidly in recent years.
They are key to an intelligent renewable energy system and enable the development of future-oriented products, services and business models.
In cooperation with BLOCKCHANCE, the organiser of the largest blockchain conference in Germany, HUSUM WIND will create a special platform on future technologies and their applications in the renewable energy sector, to be presented in hall one.
At the Digital+ Area, this year’s HUSUM WIND will offer both industries – renewable energies and digitalisation – the space for intensive networking, as its the ideal setting to meet experts, established companies and start-ups along the value chain.

segments in the field of renewable energy.
is the most important renewable source of electricity. Here, numerous pilot projects are being realised with surplus wind power, set up to establish a regional hydrogen economy on an industrial scale in Schleswig-Holstein. HUSUM WIND is nestled in this strong wind energy region with excellent geological storage conditions and innovative companies looking to actively shape the future and make a substantial contribution to achieving climate protection goals. With the Hydrogen Area in Hall 5 and an associated forum programme, HUSUM WIND offers a unique platform for players from the green hydrogen and the wind industry.
Digitalisation and IT transformation Between artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, drone technology, blockchain and green
A highlight will be the accompanying Digital+ Expert Forum, where experts from research, development and practice will demonstrate and discuss state-of-the-art solutions and pioneering business cases.
From a two-day conference to networking events
The package of the technology trade fair, which is rich in tradition, is further completed by a diverse accompanying programme. Running the day before the fair, the Industry Meets Renewables conference starts as part of the HUSUM WIND trade fair and spans across two days. It is hosted by watt 2.0 e.V., one of the partners of the trade fair and a Schleswig-Holstein-wide renewable energy industry association with more than 100 members throughout Germany. Speakers from across the renewable sector, the German economy and the wider industry will meet to discuss the complexity of the transformation process of the energy system, and will look at solutions and opportunities for Germany as a business location.
Furthermore, HUSUM WIND offers expert talks like the Digital+ Expert Forum, networking events and the WINDCareer job fair for professionals and young talents on the last day of the trade fair.
What began as Germany’s first wind fair and meeting point for the international wind industry in Husum in 1989, has evolved into a platform for all segments in the field of renewable energy. Now it has assumed a leading role, with 600 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors from 55 nations expected to attend the HUSUM WIND edition 2023. ●
