USUM WIND is the leading technology trade fair for renewable energy for the German market, hosted in the heart of
Germany’s biggest wind park network between the North and Baltic Seas. At HUSUM WIND, product innovations and cutting-edge technology in the growing renewable energy market are presented from 12–15 September 2023. HUSUM WIND will cover the topics of green hydrogen, digitalisation, sectoral linking, storage technologies, financing infrastructure, onshore and offshore wind, and recycling and repowering. From humble beginnings that saw the first event take place 30 years ago in a livestock auction hall – where 20 exhibitors were somewhat surprised by the rush of around 10,000 visitors – the event has continued to grow and the latest iteration of the fair promises to be a rewarding experience. HUSUM WIND allows attendees to glimpse into the future of wind energy.
The leading hub for renewable energy for more than three decades For over 30 years, HUSUM WIND has been the port of call for the movers and shakers of the renewable energy sector. The trade fair continues to expand its entire range of topics to present the renewable energy system and the integrative role of wind energy. As the most important energy source, onshore and offshore wind energy is central to the national energy transition. In addition to that, further topics of the fair are green hydrogen, sector coupling, storage, digitalisation, recycling and repowering, market-specific financing and funding solutions.
Over four days, more than 600 exhibiting companies from Germany and abroad will showcase what the field of renewable energy can contribute to the energy system of tomorrow. From market leaders to start-ups, experts from companies, research, industry and associations spanning the entire range of the value chain will meet at the trade fair. Action, Robert Habeck, will open the technology trade fair and visit the exhibition together with state government representatives and industry associations on the first day of the HUSUM WIND trade show.
Onshore and offshore wind Wind tech has always been at the core of the applied technology-driven trade fair. Onshore and offshore wind energy is the most important source of renewable energy in Germany and already cover around 25% of the total electricity demand. This makes Germany the leader in Europe in this segment and the country plans further massive investments. At HUSUM WIND, national and international experts across the entire value chain will meet, ranging from project planning and design, financing and insurance, production, turbine transport and erection with special ships, as well as grid connection, to the operation and maintenance of onshore and offshore wind farms.
