Tarkett has launched its virtual reality ‘Human Conscious Design Platform’, enabling users to experience how physical spaces may look, sound and feel from the perspective of someone who is neurodivergent. “This technology continues our drive to cultivate empathy and understanding amongst architects and designers by allowing them to experience an environment through a neurodivergent lens first-hand,” said Harry Harris, from Tarkett. Users are immersed in virtual environments such as ofices or schools highlighting sensory stimuli that may overwhelm, under stimulate or distress someone with sensory processing differences.
