HIMACS
Demonstrating how effectively HIMACS solid surface can transform any setting, the durable, high-performance, ultra-versatile material has been used to illuminate the history of EMI in Hayes, where it now clads a pedestrian underpass. The tunnel leads to a housing development in the former factory where so much chart-topping vinyl was pressed. In a renovation by The Decorators, the maintenance-accessible panels feature graphics by Bandiera representing record grooves. HIMACS in translucent Opal has been CNC-engraved and backlit to honour the prestigious music label and stereo sound inventor Alan Blumlein. Fabrication by The Whitewall Company.
