LOUIS DE POORTERE

The Ecorugs 2024 collection brings a rug made with 100% recyclable polyester. The product is ideal for hospitality, hotel and commercial of ice projects that want luxury plus a more sustainable solution than cotton. As polyester can be recycled without loss of quality, it can be used in the making of new rugs. So to reduce reliance on virgin polyester and develop a circular model, Louis De Poortere has introduced the Take Care Program. A QR code on the label sees a rug returned to Louis De Poortere at the end of its useful life, rather than possibly downcycled. On arrival, the firm assesses the condition and selects reuse through second-hand sale, or recycling into raw material for a new Ecorug. louisdepoortere.com
