IBMG announces changes at the top

WPA appoints new FR consultant

The Wood Protection Association (WPA) has appointed Dr Matthew Powell to take responsibility for the flame retardant (FR) related activities conducted by the organisation.


market, which involves intensive research and data collection, particularly fire test data, which stands him in good stead for his roles at the WPA.


Over the next few weeks Dr Powell and Mr Ewbank will be working together for a smooth transition. Dr Powell is highly experienced in wood protection technology and his WPA management team colleagues are looking forward to working with him.


TFS bolsters merchant support with team expansion

Bayram Timber co-founder retires


Geoff Goodwin, the co-founder of Bayram Timber Ltd, now a member of BSW Group, has retired.


Mr Goodwin founded the Melton-based business almost 50 years ago, in 1975, and has been pivotal to its success throughout the years.


He has most recently served Bayram as a non-executive director, following BSW’s acquisition of the timber manufacturing specialist in 2021.


All at Bayram, BSW and the wider timber sector thank Mr Goodwin for his hard work over a number of years, and wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.


Tom Paemeleire joins Kebony as CEO


Kebony has appointed Tom Paemeleire as chief executive officer. Mr Paemeleire takes on the position of Kebony Group CEO from Jean-Baptiste Clavel following a period of interim leadership.


He joins Kebony with 20 years of international experience dedicated to business transformation. Mr Paemeleire’s previous executive roles include leadership of Belgian-based Incendin.
