Mechanical, electrical, production, business administration, sales, purchasing, health and safety, and logistics apprentices have joined departments across the Hexham, Barony and Timberpak sites. To mark the start of the 2023 apprenticeship programme, EGGER UK hosted an induction week packed with activities, tours and talks. The new recruits saw the production of chipboard at EGGER Barony, took part in an activity day at Loch Doon, Ayr, had a tour of EGGER Hexham to see the production of Eurodekor faced chipboard, visited a Timberpak recycling site, and spent an afternoon with EGGER Forestry. “We are delighted to welcome our new apprentices to the team,” said Keith Robson, apprentice training manager, EGGER UK. “The induction week provides an exceptional opportunity for our apprentices to build connections with one another and develop a support

Recruitment for the 2024 EGGER apprenticeship programme has begun this autumn. EGGER also runs an undergraduate programme offering a 12-month placement for students to gain valuable industry experience between their second and third year of university. In addition, EGGER has recruited seven graduate trainees into the commercial services, HR, finance, customer service, and maintenance departments. ■
