The largest equipment show on earth returns to Munich this October. Having originally been scheduled to take place in April the new date seemed to work for most, with Bauma saying 97 percent of exhibitor space was confirmed by January this year. “In the personal


conversations we have with exhibitors and visitors, we

hear one thing over and over again,” said Klaus Dittrich, chairman and CEO of Messe München. “They are really looking forward to having face-to-face discussions and, of course, to experiencing the special atmosphere that only Bauma can create.” Quite how this special


atmosphere translates into sales will be key for many


exhibitors, however, as the future of trade shows is under particular scrutiny at the moment. The balance between new working patterns, growing environmental awareness – particularly towards reducing air miles, and the ever- increasing cost of tradeshows set against the rising cost of living is still to be determined. Yet with so many people


finally ‘reuniting’ post Covid this elusive buzz should be palpable. And although it’s not quite the official Octoberfest we’re sure plenty of beer will be drunk and contracts subsequently pledged!
