FAST FIX Service technicians for Zug, Switzerland-headquartered tower crane manufacturer Wolffkran also utilise the power of technology to facilitate fast fixes for customers. Its Wolff

Assist digital remote maintenance system debuted at Bauma in 2022 and, according to the company, is now in widespread use. According to Wolffkran, leasing and purchasing customers can also benefit from it. Key to Wolff Assist are smart glasses equipped with a camera, microphone, and a monitor. These smart glasses are worn on the head, or attached to the

helmet, allowing the person on the crane to have their hands free at all times, which Wolffkran says is a major benefit in terms of safety and flexibility. JINERT HAS ITS LIEBHERR LG 1550 REPAIRED AND PAINTED IN EHINGEN, GERMANY

Swedish lifting and transport service provider Jinert has had one of its LG 1550s, which it uses for the maintenance of wind turbines and for industrial and infrastructure projects, repaired and painted at Liebherr’s large repair workshop in Ehingen-Berg, Germany. The decision to repair the crane at the Liebherr location in southern Germany was based on the available capacity, the complexity of the damage and the size of the crane. For example, emergency

repairs are also undertaken there at short notice and large cranes are repaired. “Since we added this crane to our fleet in 2016, our experience with it has been excellent,” reports the company’s managing director Björn Jinert. Liebherr produced this crane type from 1992 to 2009, making it an easy decision to have the crane professionally repaired after it had recently come off a slippery road.
