CALIBRATION CENTRE
A small defect in your equipment can have major consequences during hoisting. That is why we always take the inspection of your equipment extremely seriously. At Van Gool we have fully-equipped test equipment in-house to calibrate compression load cells and crane scales. Accurate measuring devices are an important condition for safe hoisting. Our calibration centre has the most advanced equipment to calibrate load measuring devices such as load cells (tension and compression) and crane scales.
WHAT IS CALIBRATION? Calibration is the process of ensuring that a measurement instrument produces accurate and reliable results by comparing its outputs with a known standard or reference. Load cells are calibrated upon manufacture or distribution, and recalibration is the periodic repetition of that process.
TENSION LOAD CELL TESTING The machine is designed using dimensions from SP’s load cells, which range in

capacity from 1t to 350t. However, additional load pins and reducing bushes are included to accommodate a much broader range of load cells. We have rigs for the calibration of tension
and compression cells up to 350t. And our rigs are accurate to Class 1. Our 350t even has a double function: tensile load cells will be calibrated in the lower section and compression load cells in the upper part of the frame.
HYDRAULIC RAM The dynamic hydraulic test rig is an advanced and versatile testing platform designed for the rigorous assessment of hydraulic components under varying conditions. When evaluating the safety of a hydraulic cylinder, a visual inspection is insufficient, especially since this type of industrial equipment is often not handled delicately.
