turn to telehandlers. “Rather than replacing reach stackers or forklifts, telehandlers complement them by covering a much broader range of daily tasks,” says Sennebogen. While reach stackers are ideal for intensive container handling and forklifts excel at palletised goods, telehandlers provide even more flexibility. “A single machine can lift, stack, load and support maintenance work while quickly changing between pallet forks,


buckets, crane hooks, lifting jibs and other hydraulic attachments,” it adds. “Especially for smaller ports, inland terminals and multipurpose terminals, this flexibility often results in lower fleet costs, higher machine utilisation and an improved return on investment.”


Differentiation All three market sub-segments are highly competitive, with OEMs seeking to differentiate their offerings. “No two operations are the same, and that’s why our approach is to provide configurability and performance to meet ports and terminals where they are, with solutions that work on their terms,” says Hiriani. “The real value lies in
