Upper and lower lift limits, decelerations to slow approach zones, additional overload protection and the like can all be set from on-screen tabs. Hoist status information, including start/stop cycles, motor run time, DC bus voltage, and over-temperature and over-current events and other fault information can be shown as well. The free mobile app stores the last ten faults, noting when they occurred. In the paid ‘Mobile+’ version of the app the last 50 faults are stored. Turkish-based manufacturers CMAK, who have offices also in Germany, have an advanced monitoring system called HoistSense+ that transforms any electric hoist or overhead crane into a smart, self-monitoring unit that tracks load, wear, safety status and performance around the clock, giving the real-time data that today is essential in high-intensity industrial production. Their latest upgrade introduces a sub-1GHz (433MHz) wireless module which gives improved signal penetration in industrial buildings and significantly less interference than traditional Wi- Fi; communication range is therefore extended. Installation is simple plug-and-play. Stability and range are claimed as outstanding. With it, new capabilities are possible. Advanced load sharing and multi-hoist synchronisation are just two of them. When two hoists are on a single crane HoistSense+ provides accurate load balancing between them, easing the handling of long or irregular loads. For still more complex lifts it can give equal weight distribution even between four hoists. It can similarly coordinate tandem or quad lifts when the hoists are mounted on separate bridges or gantries on four different cranes, to give synchronised movement over an extended area. There is an UltraSpeed mode for faster lifting under partial loads of up to 25% of SWL. It provides alerts for overload, brake wear and
