Annual events to watch out for in the area include the Wolverhampton to Aberdovey Bike Ride, Cambrian Coast Sportive Bike Ride, Aberdovey Food Festival, Dovey Fortnight at Dovey Yacht Club, and New Year’s Eve fi reworks on the seafront. And who could forget the internationally- known Race the Train, the yearly dash through the hills to beat the Talyllyn Railway over a 14 mile stretch.
Less than an hour’s drive south lies Aberystwyth, a large ancient market town which makes for the perfect supply point, with several major supermarkets and banks. Points of interest include the National Library of Wales, the remains of Aberystwyth Castle, and Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
