Retra Conference 2022: 80th birthday celebrations and tackling the Challenge of Change
The electrical retailing industry came out in force to celebrate Retra’s 80th anniversary at a special evening networking event and attend the trade association’s conference – its first for three years and themed around the Challenge of Change – (April 4-5). At the conference, a heavyweight line-up
of guest speakers, including representatives from AMDEA, Sony, the Retail Trust, BSH, Google, GfK and Electrical Safety First, as well as retailer panellists, talked about issues including retailing in the ‘new normal’, sustainability, direct selling and the future of the high street.

CEO, Howard Saycell, expressed his disappointment that electrical retailers weren’t classed as essential during the pandemic but highlighted how Retra members had excelled themselves during the crisis.
