BUILDING DREAMS.
It’s no secret that Royals are star student-athletes at Queens; but, it may be lesser known that they are also engaged with the Charlotte community.
For example: along with other partners, Queens teamed up with the Knothole Foundation—a North Carolina nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth—to transform an unused area in West Charlotte into the Tuckaseegee Dream Fields and Education Center. In this partnership, Queens student athletes, faculty, staff and coaches are providing financial and administrative support, participating in educational programming and mentoring, providing facilities maintenance and using the fields as home base.

“We approach our mission like a team sport. We strategically align with the brightest and most diverse group of partners in the community to provide the most comprehensive and responsive support to Knothole youth and their families. Queens University is THAT partner, providing social, financial and intellectual capital, including diverse educational programming and quality mentorship. Queens’ impact on the project and the west side is remarkable.”
