My last tip for Muirfiled is another European who is very ac- curate and that is MATTEO MANASSERO who recently won the European flagship event at Wentworth. At 80/1 he is worth an interest. As to staking plans I would suggest the following; Sergio Garcia... 10 units each way at 33/1 Adam Scott... 15 units win at 25/1 Matteo Manassero... 5 units each way at 80/1 Jason Day... 5 units each way at 66/1 Total invested... 55 units.
GLORIOUS GOODWOOD
To finish off the month of outstanding sport we have the five-day meeting in Sussex known at Glorious Goodwood. And the highlight is always The Sussex Stakes, a group one over one mile. And what a possibility of a clash between Dawn Approach, Faarh, Magician and my personal fancy TORANADO. He is likely to be the outsider if all the above turn up, and while I have the utmost respect for the others (especially Magician) I still return to the comments by Richard Hughes before his defeat by Dawn Approach in the 2000 Guineas at Newmar- ket. Quite simply Hughes thought Toranado at a par with the great Canford Cliffs and simply he could not beleive he would be beaten at Newmarket. In addition nobody rides Goodwood like Richard Hughes, he has a knack of knowing where and when to produce his mount and if the likely 7/1 is priced up, he should be snapped up. In any event back Toranado to win The Sussex Stakes.
Next month’s column will heavily feature my tips for the forthcoming football season which begins in August. As we are in the middle of a managerial and player merry-go- round we will see how the land lies after more is known. In the meantime I will be reintroducing our season long footie tipster competition, so look out for the entry forms in next month’s column, to see who amongst you has the greatest football knowledge.
