PLYMOUTH DRIVER RAISING FUNDS FOR SCHOOL MINIBUS

A Plymouth taxi driver is spearheading a campaign to raise funds to buy a new minibus for a special school. Steve Cooper, who works for Crownhill Taxis, organised an evening of entertain- ment at Agaton Social

Club in Ernesettle, which raised £820 for Woodlands School’s appeal. The 47-year-old said: “I do a school run tak- ing a couple of children with special needs to the school. I was told about the minibus appeal and I

just wanted to get involved. “The old bus had to be taken off

the road

because it was so old. This appeal is to buy a new one.” Steve is also planning to run the Plymouth Half Marathon in aid of the school’s appeal.
