The football season has passed its halfway stage; our footy tipster competition is hot- ting up and our new leader and in pole posi- tion for first prize is D’artagnan, Athos and the rest of the Four Musketeers of HEATHER’S TAXIS IN NEWARK. Well done Heather. She has a 7 point lead over Billy Blakeman of Ambers Stars in Bordon, Hants. Currently third is Darren Cole of Dazzlers Gems in Manchester. As first prize is a whopping £500 and with second and third prizes available in cash for £150 and £100 respectively it really does pay to enter.
In the second leg of the trixie the following results are now in.

They respectively scored 123 points, 118 points and 117 points from the period 21st October to 17th January. There is one more trixie to be decided; from 18th January to the season’s end so keep checking this column in the paper or on our website to see how you are doing. NB I might award a wooden spoon to the least successful man- ager; at this moment it is destined for Dynamo Denise which if memory serves is an entrant from Cheshire.
