Our latest new customer is Nick Brookes Ltd. Following a week long's demonstration of the CPD Hydrolift hook loader their decision to place an order with CPD was simple. We demonstrated our HL22 with Trans cover Undercover sheet system, which was mounted on a Mercedes Acros 8x4 chassis. However, following the demo, it was the Scania XT that Nick Brookes Ltd knew and loved that was their preferred chassis of choice.

We are constantly striving to have the best aftersales in the industry for both hook loaders and RCV’s. We guarantee 100% of part stock availability for all products we supply for the first seven years of the vehicle’s life. Our van-based engineers are located all over the UK and we endeavour to attend a vehicle within one hour of a breakdown being reported.
“It’s not only how quickly you get to a vehicle; it’s also how quickly you fix it,” explained Robert Davidson, Operations Director at CPD.
Therefore, with everything we build we always look at the worst-case scenario. What could break or defect and, if it does, how easy is it to repair? We try and consider that if a vehicle has broken down it will be on a Friday afternoon in the pouring rain when the gate keeper wants to go home or, worse still, it’s the first job on a Monday morning!
For Nick Brookes Ltd to change suppliers after such a long time is quite a statement of trust. It fills us with great pride that they have seen the advantages of purchasing from CPD.

All components are bolted onto the main hook frame and when mounting the equipment to the chassis we don’t drill any holes, weld any steel or cut any wires. Our build process is like a giant Meccano
kit. This enables build times to be consistent but, most importantly, ensures that the quality is 100% every time.
Building any vehicle to the correct specification is vitally important and ours all go through a robust planning system. This process includes the salesperson, sales admin, production engineer, production planner, parts manager and our ops director. If the foundation is perfect, we can build anything.
