years, she has dabbled in poetry with her work being featured in Post Lib journal and Visual Verse. Nadia writes: “Like many literary professions such librarians, being a writer is a solitary and often lonely pursuit. However, a wonderful way to connect with readers is through in person events and literary festivals. During my writing career, I have had the pleasure of being part of The Wolverhampton Literature Festival, Durham Book Festival, Dhaka Literary Festival, Stay At Home Literary Festival, Ananke Literary Festival and more recently The Kushwant Singh Literary Festival. I hold a special connection to the Bookbank event organised by the Republic of Consciousness Prize for Small Presses. In May this year I had the honour of being invited as their inaugural guest author at the Newington Green Bookbank. The Bookbank initiative serves a vital purpose by providing books to food banks, effectively bridging the gap between nourishing the body and nurturing the mind.” Nadia will be running a writing workshop alongside Kirsten Cliff Elliot, Laura Ferguson, and Christie Ikeogu in Glasgow at the CILIP Unconference
