THE MATTHEW WHITAKER QUARTET

When asked about what he was looking forward to the most to kickoff such a momentous city-wide celebration, he shared: "I am really excited about my upcoming performance at the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired! I am especially looking forward to connecting and sharing with the students. I’m sure we have similar stories of challenges and victories. We are going to celebrate US and have a great time! Your life is what you choose to make it, don't let your blindness or vision impairment stop you from doing what you want to do."

Matthew's story and music gets our students excited and inspired. One student, Samantha, said: "It's pretty cool that someone my age has accomplished so much with his life already. He has no limits and that is what we have been talking about and trying to do in our discussion groups and meetings with the museum people. If he can do all he has done in 18 years, I can too!"

Setting another record, Matthew is also the first artist to break in our newly renovated, and fully accessible, auditorium.
