STUDENT LEADERSHIP CLUB
Who better to spearhead our journey of creating access with our partners than our very own students who live it every day.
A small group of high school juniors and seniors make up the Student Leadership Club to serve as an advocacy group that will connect with six arts organizations in the city to talk about accessibility, and what they can do to make their venue more accessible to individuals who are blind/visually impaired. The goal is to encourage the students to not only think about how they might better advocate for themselves, but how they can directly apply their ideas in the public, like at the Eiteljorg Museum.

Cheyanne, a Senior, talks about the impact of the Club: "It gives a broader view of the blind community and shows that we can experience art. We can be educators to the sighted community and show how our ideas can make a big difference.”
No Limits is about creating one community in which people of all abilities are not only included, but heard. As our students learned about disability rights and slogans they began to echo the phrase “Nothing About Us Without Us!”
