CHINO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AS NATIONAL HISPANIC SCHOLARS
When they aren't dominating the sound waves and competing with the rest of the Chino High School Cavalry band, Bailey Kuo and Joshua Mesta are achieving academically.
The scores they received on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) have earned Bailey and Joshua academic honors that they can include on their college applications. Colleges will use these honors to identify our
Cowboys as students who have excelled on their PSAT exam and in the classroom.
The College Board National Recognition Program creates pathways to college for students from underrepresented communities by awarding them academic honors while connecting them with universities and colleges across the country.
Congratulations Bailey and Joshua for this well-deserved recognition!
CVUSD HOPE Center joins with community partners to provide holiday cheer!
The Chino Valley USD HOPE Center and partnering community organizations made the season bright and merry for families in need this holiday season. In collaboration with the California Institution for Men (CIM), 30 families were sponsored to attend a drive-thru gift pick-up while the Chino Valley Fire Foundation donated $5,500 in Walmart Gift cards to sponsor five families.
Inland SoCal United Way provided two pallets full of new toys while our Butterfield Ranch Rough Riders, Litel Lions, and Rolling Ridge Express donated toys and clothes to the Care Closet and HOPE Center. Through a joint effort, almost $3,000 in gift cards were collected by CHAMP, CVUSD personnel and community members to gift 56 families. In total, approximately 378 students were directly impacted by the generosity of the Chino Valley. A warm thank you to all of our CVUSD family's selfless givers!
