W oodcrest Junior High Instruct ional Coach and Teachers Lisa Lista, W oodcrest Counselor Isabel Tor res, Ramona Junior High teacher Shae Laird, along wi th col leagues from Duar te Uni fied School Distr ict Tina Quick and Nicholas W alker visi ted Dingzhou and Zhengding, China over 16 days whi le teaching two high schools STEAM centered instruct ion and col lege/career readiness. At Zhengding high school , the team gave professional development sessions to their teachers in engineer ing, thinking maps, and best teaching pract ices. The tr ip was coordinated by Dr. Preston Car r , Director of the Al ternat ive Educat ion Center and Bei Col l ins from Don Lugo.
