In an effor t to ensure
that our schools can be sel f sufficient dur ing a disaster , al l of the Distr ict 's campuses have been equipped wi th emergency bins and stocked wi th emergency
suppl ies for the ent ire school student body and staff. Schools whose bins were no longer funct ional received new bins. Al l of the schools' bins were restocked wi th emergency

suppl ies that included food, water , shel ter , medical and search and rescue suppl ies. W ater suppl ies in the bins are cer t i fied to last for up to five years.
Schools have been
provided wi th a l ist of i tems in their bins and the Risk Management Depar tment wi l l

complete quar ter ly inspect ions and track when food, water and other per ishable i tems need to be replaced.
