aandreasays On bad days, I worry I take up too much of peoples' time when I stutter. I worry that they have somewhere better to be and can’t give me the time of day, because honestly I often don’t give people the benefit of the doubt. I guess that’s the kid in me trying to brace herself for the worst — but I’ve had so many moments and lessons to prove me wrong during the years. I’ve seen patience in people’s eyes when I haven’t had it for myself and warmth in their hearts when I’ve given up mid- sentence or blocked for what feels like forever. They wait. They learn, they adapt. I think they did long before I did. People who stutter might not always see it or ever realize it, but when we open up and give people a chance there’s so much we can teach them. The best part? Most of them want to learn, and they listen. #stutter #stuttering #westutter #stammer #stammering #projektprata
