Here's what some of our more than 264,000 friends are talking about, in our Facebook community

Stuttering Foundation @stutteringhelp Stuttering Foundation Stuttering Foundation

To help celebrate Labor Day, we asked the stuttering community what they wished employers knew about stuttering.

Brayden Harrington, a 13-year-old boy with a stutter, explained how Joe Biden gave him the confidence for public speaking at the 2020 Democratic Convention.

Jane Fraser, Stuttering Foundation: From the time you wake up until you go to bed, the fear of stuttering is with you. That’s the emotional impact on the child who stutters. That’s why it so important to be open about stuttering, and to not be ashamed of who you are. That’s how Brayden Harrington inspires our community.

Marrah: Brayden is a stuttering warrior! On behalf of stutterers, THANK YOU!!!

Kara: As a speech pathologist, it made my heart so happy to watch Brayden’s speech. What a brave young man who undoubtedly made a difference in so many lives last night.

Jim: As a stutterer, I am so proud of this young man. It took courage to speak out the way he did. Thanks to him I feel as I have a little more acceptance in this world. Well done kiddo.

Deborah: Brayden's presentation puts a confident and intelligent face to stuttering, something the general public knows little about. Many people only know the myths and stereotypes, and have never really listened to a person who stutters. Millions are listening now! And boy did Brayden sound great!

Charles: Brayden is my hero. While he was speaking, moments of my life when my voice was frozen and I felt humiliated flashed through my mind. Only those of us who have battled stuttering know how much courage it took Brayden to give that address.

Nancy: This Speech and Language Pathologist thinks he did a great job! So proud of him!

Glenna: Good job Brayden! *some comments have been edited for content, length, and/or grammar; profile photos have been changed. 38
