Firetruck Storytime (Ages 2–6) It’s our annual firetruck story time. Enjoy storytime, then check out the fire engine! Children attending will receive a badge sticker and a fire hat, courtesy of Avondale’s Fire and Medical crew.

Construction is nearing completion! Crews are working on completing the site amenities like parking, landscaping, and lighting; the pools are getting tile and play features; and the interior finishes are in progress. Meanwhile, at the October 23 Council meeting, Council adopted proposed rates and hours of operation for the facility.

A great pool is powered by great people! The Avondale Aquatic Center will need lots of amazing staff. New posi- tions will include pool management, lifeguards, instruc- tors, coaches, cashiers, and pool maintenance employees. These are great opportunities for students and seasoned professionals, providing lifelong work skills and leader- ship opportunities.
