CHILDREN
LETTERS TO CHARACTERS (AGES 0 – 12) Visit the “Letters to Characters” station at the Civic Center Library and leave a letter in the box for your favorite storybook characters! A new character will be featured twice a month and personalized replies from the characters will be available for pick-up at the Information Desk every other Monday at 10 am. WIGGLERS TO WALKERS (AGES BIRTH – 24 MONTHS) Babies and toddlers and their caretakers are invited to join us for short stories, songs, rhymes and movement in this language enrich- ment program designed to boost brain development. Program is repeated at 11 am, please attend only one session.

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (AGES 3 – 5) Get your child Kindergarten-ready through picture books, educational activities, cooperative skill- building practice, and play. Bring your dancing shoes and your loudest singing voices!
Tuesdays, 11 am
STEAM LAB Explore a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities and projects. Activities are open-play, but staff will be on hand for guidance. Please be aware that the activities and materials used are age specific and adult guidance is required.
STEAM Playdate (Ages 3-6) | Wednesdays, 11 am Open STEAM Lab (Ages 6-12) | Thursdays, 4 pm
BLOCK PARTY (AGES 5 – 12) Free-form brick building with all supplies included. Younger siblings welcome.

TEEN VOLUNTEER WEDNESDAYS (AGES 12 – 18) Meet new friends, help the community, learn valuable work skills, learn about libraries, and earn volunteer hours for school! Beginning January 2024, registration will be required for teen volunteers. Register at

STORIES TO GO! These special take-home kits, developed especially for our youngest patrons, are available for checkout. The kits contain five picture books that focus on a single topic and a helpful activity guide to enhance the story telling.
WONDERBOOKS Children’s picture books with pre-loaded audiobook players bound inside. Each book reads to the child as they follow along and even asks them questions about the story.
