EMEA TRAINING 2019

TAPA LAUNCHES ONLINE AND LOCAL TRAINING COURSES ACROSS EMEA IN 2019 AS SECURITY STANDARDS CERTIFICATIONS REACH A RECORD LEVEL

TAPA EMEA’s 2019 training schedule kicked off this month with a combined FSR & TSR course in Manchester, UK, as the region looks to build on the record number of TAPA Security Standards certifications achieved in the last 12 months.

In addition to face-to-face training events across the region, members can also access TAPA’s Parking Security Requirements (PSR) online training at any time during the year, while members working to maintain their Internal Approved Audit status can take online refresher training for both the Facility Security Requirements (FSR) and Trucking Security Requirements (TSR), an increasingly popular option for companies due to the time and cost savings involved.

The 2019 schedule includes TAPA training events in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa and Spain. Further courses are planned in Russia, South Africa and the UK once venue hosts have been confirmed.

For full information and to register to attend, TAPA EMEA members can either use the training link sent to all members in December or register online.

Markus Prinz, EMEA Training Lead, said: “This year we are supporting our commitment to improve access to TAPA’s training services with the

online refresher training option for FSR and TSR and by continuing to offer an online solution for our new PSR Standard. As demand for TAPA’s Security Standards grows, we are also reaching out with local courses across the region to ensure we provide the best possible support for members looking to begin or extend their TAPA certification programmes. We especially wish to thank all of our training hosts for their support and hospitality.”

A COST-EFFICIENT WAY TO IMPROVE DRIVER, VEHICLE AND CARGO SECURITY

Members are also reminded of the benefits of the highly effective and cost-efficient e-learning course for drivers, developed by the IRU Academy and TAPA EMEA. This is available now at the discounted cost of just €24.00 per driver. This easy-to-follow, interactive training helps increase driver awareness of security risks when they are transporting high value, theft- targeted goods and aims to minimise risks to drivers, their vehicles and loads. As well as focusing on preventing cargo thefts, it also covers other major security risks such as illegal immigration and smuggling.
