TAPA APAC’S FIRST FSR TRAINING WEBINAR HELPS MEMBERS SAVE TIME AND MONEY - AND RESULTS IN A 90% PASS RATE

which can mean long journeys and expense, so developing our webinar program is a logical solution to eliminate the need to travel. It also saves cost for members who would normally travel to a TAPA Training event and increases the overall productivity of the staff involved because they don’t waste time traveling and are available in their offi ces should an emergency situation arise. Our trainers reported a very attentive level of participation in the webinar, which was very positive,” commented Lina Li, TAPA APAC’s Training Lead.

The region’s next training webinar is scheduled for March and further information will be published on TAPA APAC’s CRM membership portal.

Members in China and other parts of Asia participated in TAPA APAC’s fi rst Facility Security Requirements (FSR) training webinar last month, organised by the Association’s team in Singapore.

Of the 27 members who joined the three-day webinar session, 90% passed the FSR exam at the end of the training.

Kevin Zhang, TAPA APAC Board Member, said “Our fi rst FSR training webinar in the region was voted a big hit by the members who took part, most notably those who have been unable to travel to one of our conventional classroom trainings. The high pass mark also demonstrated the eff ectiveness of the session, which we were pleased with.”

NEW MEMBERS

Tony Lugg, Chairman of TAPA APAC, added: “The FSR training webinar exemplifi es our strong commitment to stay actively engaged with our members who cannot travel for whatever reason. We were especially encouraged by the level of participation by TAPA members in Greater China. Training in China will be renewed when TAPA APAC’s NGO application is approved.”

Based on the success of this fi rst online training, TAPA APAC will be launching more webinar initiatives with the aim of bringing more knowledge and benefi ts to its members.

“We had good feedback from our members and suggestions of what to include in future events. We understand that some members are unable to travel due to a variety of reasons, especially when it involves overseas travel
