Belmont Village Senior Living, based in Houston, Texas, announced a joint venture with Baptist Health South Florida to develop, own, and operate senior living communities across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties in south Florida. Con- struction on the venture’s first community in downtown Coral Gables is expected to begin in mid-2020.


Charter Senior Living, headquartered in Chi- cago, Ill., was selected as the management team for the senior living component of Well- point Community at Hampton Cove, located in Huntsville, Ala., which broke ground in April. The community’s first phase will include 114 independent living, 50 assisted living, and 26 memory care residences. The project is ex- pected to be completed in May 2020. Addi- tionally, Charter Senior Living was selected to manage Autumn Leaves of Glen Ellyn, in Glen Ellyn, Ill. The community, which offers 46 residences for memory care, will be renamed Charter Senior Living of Glen Ellyn.


Richmond, Va.-based HHHunt announced a nearly $130 million investment in devel- oping new communities in Maryland and Virginia. HHHunt’s senior living division will open two new communities this year in Maryland, including Spring Arbor of Crofton and Spring Arbor of Frederick; a third com- munity in the state, Spring Arbor of Olney, is also under construction. Additionally, the company plans to begin construction on a new community in Virginia dedicated to memory care, Spring Arbor Cottage of Fred- ericksburg. These four new communities will serve more than 365 residents.


MatrixCare, based in Bloomington, Minn., entered into a National Pharmacy Integra- tion and Electronic Medication Administra- tion Record (eMAR) agreement with Phar- Merica. The agreement allows MatrixCare to communicate with PharMerica’s proprietary AS400 software in multiple configurations. The company also unveiled its newest tech- nology—among them, the Brightree home health and hospice solution and an “eMAR offline” option—at its annual user confer- ence, “Directions,” in April.

Solvere Living, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., hosted the grand opening of Tessera of West- chase, an assisted living and memory care community located in Tampa, Fla., in May. The community offers 64 assisted living and 38 memory care residences.


New Perspective Senior Living, headquar- tered in Eden Prairie, Minn., announced plans to break ground on New Perspective – Waukesha, a new community in Waukesha, Wis., offering 94 independent living and as- sisted living residences and 34 memory care apartments. A late summer 2020 opening is planned for the community.


OnShift, located in Cleveland, Ohio, an- nounced the OnShift Wallet Visa Prepaid Card, an enhancement feature to OnShift Wallet—a mobile app that allows access to earned, but unpaid wages. Some benefits include card management; real-time access; and convenience.


Chicago, Ill.-based Pathway to Living began pre-leasing its Heartis Village North Shore community in Brookfield, Wis. The com- munity, which offers 104 residences for as- sisted living and memory care, is scheduled to open in September 2019. The communi- ty marks the fourth Wisconsin-based com- munity for Pathway to Life and its second


under construction in the Milwaukee area. Additionally, the company completed the renovation of Azpira Place of Breton, located in Kentwood, Mich. Pathway acquired and had been managing the community—for- merly known as Elmcroft of Kentwood— since February 2018. Among the improve- ments was a redesign of the memory care neighborhood to complement Pathway to Living’s A Knew Day memory support pro- gram and philosophy.


Charlotte, N.C.-based Senior Living Commu- nities announced that The Charlotte Assisted Living and Memory Care community will be coming to south Charlotte in June 2019.


Vitality Senior Living announced the ground- breaking of Landmark Lifestyles, a full-spec- trum senior living community developed in partnership with Fusion Hospitality. The new community, located in Tupelo, Miss., will fea- ture 23 independent living, 64 assisted living, and 30 memory care residences. The com- munity is expected to open in fall 2020.
